April 25, 2019 - I've found this producer's CdP to be a fresh and early drinking wine, so not really surprised to find this CdR to be in a similar vein. Purplish ruby in color with transparency. Aromas of dark fruit, graphite, wet slate, and a bit of garrigue. Medium body, medium(+) acid and finish, with flavors of dark fruits and fairly strong minerality. I don't know that this is a big ager, but there's a little grip to it and I think it could go a few years anyway. Pretty solid CdR for $14 that would work well with burgers, pot roast, portobellos, and lamb. 87-88
