May 7, 2019 - I bought this on a whim as it was discounted and I was hoping to be able to say that this was a decent prospect at a reduced price (£20). Unfortunately it was overshadowed by Piper Heidsieck NV, Laurent Perrier NV and Taittinger NV, some of which can be purchased at the same price.

According to Mumm's website, this spends 20 months on the lees, more than the minimum, but significantly less than its peers. It shows.

5/25/19, 3:51 AM - I’ll give it another go in six months.

Quick question given that Sainsbury’s and Tesco are both doing a 25% off six deal: Veuve 2008 or Moët 2012? I thought you’d be the best person to ask.

5/25/19, 8:47 AM - Lol. I noticed the Imperatrice on the Tesco website aa well. Thanks for the response. I usually go for Moet Vintage over Veuve, but I’m struck by some of the notes on here for the Veuve 2008.

5/25/19, 10:12 AM - I noticed a lot of very high scores for the 2008 when I looked on my phone. I've now checked on my desktop PC and noticed that a lot of those scores are for LGD rather than the vintage. Given that I've preferred the Moet in the past, I think I'll stick with that.
