May 18, 2019 - Opened one of these a week after they arrived. Scents of earth, licorice, smoked jerky, and black cherry. The palate is light-medium bodied, with high acidity, and notes of strawberry, cranberry, and spice. This is such a unique take on Zinfandel and how it could be interpreted. In many ways this reminds me more of Barbera as there is a real rusticity and earthy element. Outstanding. If you like "old world" wines this is worth trying.
