  May 18, 2019 - Much better than expected, as some of these left bank 1995s currently lack a bit of charm found in a vintage like 1996. There's still some rusticity, with leather, cigar box, and dry earth. But at the forefront is a nice core of dark fruits. The wine showed really good complexity and a smooth, even finish with excellent length. I wish I had more of this, as I wonder if it will be even better in a few years.
