June 16, 2019 - Double decanted about 3 hours before service. A very dark purple core, turning towards deep garnet at the rim; no signs of age. Primary notes of crushed stones, scorched earth, briar patch, ripe dark fruits, and hints of tobacco. Medium bodied, so noble and regal on the palate, with great depth and freshness; the finish lasted well over a minute. First bottle from a case; this will probably outlive me, and is a monumental wine in the making!

Saw that you are in Philly. I am in NYC and for a while thinking about coordinating a 2005 Bordeaux horizontal. Let me know if interested.
