June 19, 2019 - Disgorged in June 2018 after 94 months on the lees, 4th batch with 1300 bottles (according to the back label).

Pale yellow colour, fine mousseux, smells of melon, green apple and a little bit nutty, medium body, dry, but not in a tart way, in the mouth melon, green apple and nutty, doesn’t have much acidity, in the aftertaste green apple, nutty and acidity, very long finish (30 sec).

Tasted blind I would not have guessed this to be a Riesling sparkling wine, it reminded me more of a NV champage. I had expected petrol notes after ten years. If you like your Riesling sparklers to taste more of Riesling, then you probably need to drink those with shorter time on the lees.

I would have scored it higher, if it had tasted more like Riesling. As it is, it’s not bad either, it’s just not what I expected or particularly like.
