Darkish red color with some bricking at the rim, attractive nose of maturing fruit but also a distinct pickle note comingled with unresolved oak, on the palate the wine was almost mechanically smooth- like a gushing of water from a fountain in which not a single drop strays from the main stream, and all fruit- cassis and cherry with a good dose of dark fruits and hints of chocolate, however it seemed remote in a way- far off in the distance while being surrounded by a visibly aging structure, the fruit itself was quite primary, a perfectly pleasant- even good wine- but lacking the sort of secondary and tertiary development one expects when aging most very high end wines, for what it is- a wine I think that was showing its best within a few years of release. **, drink up.1 person found this helpful 2,866 views
