June 22, 2019 - Hunter whistlestop 2019 #3 (Hunter Valley): Honey, butter, toast, a little green apple. Juicy acid, more grassy in the palate finishes a little creamy. Simple but a good 'cheap' aged Hunter Semillon.

7/6/19, 4:49 AM - I find 2009 to be the best current vintage for Hunter Semillon. I am on the search for more 2009 wines, James Estate is one of the few wineries still selling it. It is just at that tipping point for Semillons that I like. Still fresh and fruity but that tinge of honey and butter.
