  July 6, 2019 - Opened and slow ox for 2 hours before tasting. Deep ruby-black in the glass. Complex nose of fruit, earth, leather. Huge, dense, flavorful in the mouth. Black fruit, chocolate, cigar box, seared meat. Initially seemed incredibly smooth, but firm tannins emerged a bit later in the evening. This was a fine year in the Medoc, and the wine has years of improvement ahead of it.
