  July 11, 2019 - Decanted for over a half hour before serving. Tannins are resolved and quite smooth and there is ample acidity to provide good balance to the rather dense dark fruit. This is a fairly straight forward wine, without a lot on the nose or much complexity, but it is quite tasty and nicely balanced. Similar to other 03's I have had that display less structure and nuance, but has good fruit concentration and comes across lighter on the finish as the tannins have lost their firmness. Probably at peak now and doubt further aging will improve.
