Community Tasting Note

July 17, 2019 - Lunch at Wah Lok. The case came in from London last month, finally got an opportunity to open one today. Heavy tobaccos on the nose so typical of a matured HB. Very clean on the nose. Sweet and smooth on the entry. Fine tannins. Previous taster was correct, this tasted so young. In blind tasting I would have guessed as a ‘89 or ‘90 HB. Vibrant acidity and no sign of fading over 2 hours lunch. This is going to last forever. Long may you run! Marvelous wine, so pure and elegant.
