  July 28, 2019 - The 2017 Ceritas Porter-Bass is dominated by black fruits including blackberries and black cherry. The fruit is fleshy and gamey, which has more in common with a Sonoma syrah than pinot. The tannins stick to the teeth and the finish is long-lived. There is potential here, but I think you are going to have to be patient. I would recommend waiting another year or more for this to come together in the bottle.
