July 30, 2019 - This is the first vintage with Francoise Peschon consulting. The wine is dark, with sweet aromas of tobacco, toffee and forest loam. The fruit is a touch sweet here, hint if red licorice, but restrained, held back by soft tannins, medium finish. For my palate the oak is a touch too prominent, but the wind is very enjoyable. Best around 8-12 years out, I suspect.
