  August 5, 2019 - Two more years since my last note; last bottle of this lovely wine.
  
  Color: medium cherry ruby core -> fully bricked, garnet rim. Delicious bouquet of sour cherries, leather, iodine and a little barnyard. Still showing quite the wonderful palate: medium-bodied, great acidity and a reasonably long finish at 20+ years of age. Grilled cherries, acidity, plums and some medicinal aspects make for a great final bottle of this vintage. Held up well over 3+ hours though the acidity was coming on pretty strong at the end there. Cheers to those who still have any and drink up soon I would say!
