August 9, 2019 - Popped, decanted, and somehow left alone for about 45 minutes.
I really don't want to like this wine as I am fearful of an expensive Burgundy habit.
Moderate clarity. Bright. Brick edge.
Iron, smoke, red fruit on the nose. And what a nose it is! Deep, rich. Is that clove?
On the palate, wine is sound. Dry, medium alcohol, long finish, medium tannin, low acid. Just beautiful and delicate, reflecting the nose but with elegance. More on the nose than on the palate.
Boy this is a nice wine. Yes, it could probably have benefited from a few more years to open up on "aging" flavors but great now.1 person found this helpful 1,364 views
