August 12, 2019 - How I've longed for a hot day to sit outside and enjoy this rosé ice cold, but lately it hasn't been in the cards. Instead, we enjoyed this Mission Hill Rosé on this grey Monday evening with a garden salad, some tortilla chips, and leek soup. It was served at about 11 or 12ºC (52–54ºF).

The wine looks pink and there is no sediment in the bottle. According to the Mission Hill website, the wine is comprised of Merlot (65%), Shiraz (27%), and Pinot Noir (8%). It smells like strawberry, peach, honeysuckle, and watermelon. It tastes like apple, peach, and raspberry, with a hint of lemon. After warming up a bit in the glass, it gained a slight flavour of honey. The body is light and it has a bright texture. The wine has a medium finish and medium acidity that puts it in a nice balance with the fruit. This may last another year, but why wait until next summer when you can enjoy this right now? This is the best rosé I've tried and is one I'll get again.
