August 16, 2019 - Meh. Good bit of blackberry and spice on the nose as I’m drinking this 6 hours after opening; smells more of sea muck 3-4 hours in. Very big for a pinot, in a not good way - hard to recognize the varietal. Admittedly the wine got better with each glass; not sure why a California Pinot with 6 years of age needs 6 hours. I’m fed up with Sea Smoke and have stopped buying...interested to see how my remaining bottles do as they age into 10-12 years...
