August 15, 2019 - A family gathering featuring our good friend Malbec: The Wapisa Malbec was clear with a very deep—almost black—colour somewhere between purple and ruby. The rim was pink with a very thin clear edge. The smell was clean, with medium intensity aromas of black pepper, black fruit, and vanilla. The wine was bone dry with medium tannins and alcohol, medium(+) acidity, and a medium(+) finish. It was fresh and crisp with flavours of cola and cherry. The Wapisa was incredibly unique and went well with extra old white cheddar. This is definitely one I would buy again. $25 CAD.
