    August 28, 2019 - Served blind
    Young ruby blue colored
On initial view, I was certain this was a Loire Cab franc, lovely light blackberry fruit, fine tannins, but a little thin in the mid palate. A lovely light lunch wine with plenty of fruit and great balance. Recommended.
But then with unveiling, I felt a little disappointed.
    Lovely, but not Cos.
Given the pedigree and great balance I assume this may last well, but I might prefer to drink this soon for the lovely fruit

Background: I'd previously tasted but the '10 of this, NEVER the "main" bottling, & I'll never, E-V-E-R get to the point where I'd even VENTURE to feel I knew the differences between same bank communes. So, when I say my TN of 9/14/19 tends to align with the 1st ¶ above, it SHOULD be taken with a good-sized grain of NaCl. ;)

Nonetheless, at least on the *surface* there IS discrepancy re this wine for the "pros" as well as for contributors here. My "explanation" would be that the frt of this is apparently QUITE capable of masking the structure underneath. [One of the "pros", in his barrel sample tasting, described the tannins as "sneaky."]

Soooooo, Nutty08 & cos65, much like observing a multi-faceted crystal from different aspects, I'm not at all certain *I* see TRUE discrepancies in your TNs. ;)
