  September 1, 2019 - Prior bottle was almost two and a quarter years ago (June 2017)and the wine has improved nicely in that time. Red berries, red raspberry, forest floor, spices and floral notes on the nose. Became noticeably more aromatic the longer it was open. Medium bodied with red cherries and red berries upfront, deepening towards raspberry through the middle. Mid-body is much more rounded and open than previously and the transition to the finish is much better integrated. Backside shows tart red cherry and strawberry, coupled with spices, earth, tannins and acidity. There's very good structure here and while more in balance with the fruit than previously, then can still clearly improve with additional time. This wine is opening up and coming together nearly exactly as I'd hoped. It has the structure to continue on these lines so next bottle for me will be late Fall 2020, perhaps even November.
