Community Tasting Note

September 3, 2019 - Soft nose and enticing dark red purple color. On the palate, dark berry fruits, dark cherry, traces of bitter cranberries and dark raspberries. This was a pop and pour but this wine was inhibit at first, but it did start start to open and showed better with time. Nice soft fruit and more elegant in style and structure, but I expected a better experience so I was a little disappointed. In conclusion, this wine went from a 91 to 92-93 points. Good wine but there are better values out there for my palate.

9/3/19, 10:37 PM - If you have any bottles left, decant the next one for at least 2.5 hours. In looking at my one public and a couple private notes on some bottles I have opened, it needs at least that long to really get up and go...

9/4/19, 8:19 AM - I tend to be a pop and pour kind guy and clearly I need to be a little patient with certain Cabernet labels. I really know better. When I initially taste a wine and it’s not showing up to expectations, decanting becomes a must. Thanks for the reminder Blarmston.

And if you haven't had the '16 yet, you are in for a TREAT...
