September 4, 2019 - This deep ruby wine offers aromas and flavors of ripe raspberries and cherries, accented with notes of clove, black tea, bramble leaf and sassafras. Medium-bodied and with low-to-medium acidity, it wraps its flavors with relatively soft tannins, restrained oak and silent alcohol (listed as 14.1%). Unfortunately, it thins out dramatically on the middle palate and concludes with a short finish that lacks vibrancy. Being a fan of Drouhin's Oregon operation, I am at a loss for what went wrong here. Drink now-2022.

9/5/19, 6:06 PM - I am also a DDO fan and my note from weeks ago on this bottle agrees with your assessment. Not sure what happened with this bottling.
