9/16/19, 10:49 AM - Appreciate your comment :) I mean it in a positive way, as syrah often does convey a sense of red meat/blood, (along with the usual notes of olive, lavender, and black pepper). I don't think this wine can be confused for old world, but it does have a fullness of body and chewy wood tannins that could also be described as "meaty". Cheers!

9/16/19, 1:51 PM - I had the 08 Reva a few months ago, a stunning wine. Comparatively, it was more fruit driven, with a lot finer tannins (far more resolved) and less oak aroma for my palate. This 14 patrina has a really savory profile.
