  September 16, 2019 - Excellent Combottes. Lovely red fruits on the nose, along with stemmy notes. Starts out with some forest floor and then develops floral aromas. Palate has more red fruit, along with earth and spice. Earthiness and tannins are very Gevrey, but the floral nose and finesse give this some Chambolle accents. Acidity and alcohol are each medium. Wine retains some tannic grip and will benefit from a few more years in bottle. Accessible now but definitely evolves over the course of an hour in the glass.
