September 17, 2019 - Crimson-purple, opaque; cassis, black cherries, graphite, wet leaves, soil, fennel, cloves, cocoa, vanilla, floral; cassis/plummy, earthy, silky, good acidity, medium-full body, good structure, firm fine tannins, lingering finish.
Decanted 2 hrs. Beautifully balanced berry fruit, minerality and oak with chewy tannins. Hedonistic yet graceful. Better than most reserve wines. Enjoyed with lamb chops. WOTY.
