September 22, 2019 - Pretty dark in appearance but it smells brighter and is only just over medium weight. Mulberry, red plum, boysenberry, clay, pepper and dried, salty fruit. Tannin is silky with the structure mainly built on acid. The acid however is a little pokey and a little orange juice-like. The acid was much more integrated on day two and I found it way more enjoyable. Flavour profile would be great right now if it wasn’t for that added acid taste. Might be worth waiting a little longer to see if it folds in with time.
