October 3, 2019 - This wine just doesn't make it. A generic Pinot Noir using grapes from anywhere in the Willamette Valley, the OTWC 2016 Pinot has light red fruit, and alcohol, acidity, and tannins are OK and give the taster some hope. But ithere is a bitter finish that destroys most pleasure. There is no evidence that this is due to cork taint or any other fault of the wine, other then the grapes or procedures within the winery. My guess is the stems were not removed, but I am unsure. At $15/bottle, it could have been a good value Pinot, but I will look elsewhere. Tasted before and during dinner with little difference.
