October 2, 2019 - Deep, dark purple. Plenty of brambles and spice...but really, there’s nothing here that gets me excited. This is a good wine and it’s quite quaffable actually, but not particularly remarkable to me. A bit of a reminder as to why I only focus on a handful of producers in CdP anymore.

In the more “Burgundian” vintages, I like Clos Des Papes but it’s can be a bit overblown in warmer vintages. Le Clos du Caillou and Mas du Boislauzon makes some interesting wines worth trying. And of course, Rayas...but it’s a small fortune and very hard to find.
