October 4, 2019 - A friend brought this back to us from her trip to Italy. Decanted about 3 hours. No formal notes, but recall its color was much more advanced than expected, with a lot of bricking and orange at the rim. Wine smelled and tasted beautiful: classic Brunello with wonderful red fruit, complexity and great balance. Paired perfectly with a Bisteca Fiorentino off our grill. Every time I taste an Italian red this good, I say to my wife, "Why don't we drink more Italian wines?" I expect this to improve for at least 3-5 more years, but a real treat now with a solid decant. 93+
