I squirreled some away in storage for the last five years in the hope that time would do something, anything to them and while it has, it's only made them marginally less bad. The nose is still heavily weighted towards strawberry jam and a hint of burnt rubber and the palate is redolent of jolly ranchers and alcoholic heat. One of those early auction purchases when I put my trust in reviews but really had no clue which way was up. At least this winter's bolognese sauces won't be short of some red wine.
