  October 13, 2019 - A fantastic intro for me to 2010 northern Italian wines. 2 hrs of air revealed a nose strong on anise, blackberry/blueberry, violets, maybe some tobacco? Taste full of blackberry/ cherry. A day later the nose had really come together and added candied cherries and vanilla to the mix. Tons of fine grained tannins and grip. Violets more pronounced on the nose the second day. Right now requires many hours of decanting to show completely but this would be a beauty, although a pretty primary one, if you popped and poured. Better to just leave it alone for probably 2 decades. All the hype about 2010 Italian is true.
  Score 94+. Could be much higher in time. Relative to expectations: ++
