  September 9, 2008 - Opened this today because I got the 2006 RM mailer and wanted to re-vist this wine before ordering the '06. Opened 5 hours before trying. In the glass this is dark purple, the wine has a fruit forward nose with blackberries, blueberries vanilla and pencil lead. On the palate there is cherry, raspberry, blackberry, vanilla with a hint of spice. Tannins are a bit drying but they show up in the background so as not to take away from the wine. I will only drink about half tonight and revist tomorrow and report back if this wine changes, for the good or bad. 92pts with some room to improve. I will be buying 6 from the new mailer, at $55 this is a great QPR out of NAPA.
