November 1, 2019 - Opened in the bottle for 3-5 hours and I thought this killed it from the start. Silky smooth, lighter and more elegant than 12-16. Also higher acidity with a prominent mineral/earth component to it. Obviously still a Myriad so yes it’s packed full off ultra ripe and luxurious fruit. Depth is provided by the usual attack of extracted vanilla, cherry syrup, cassis liqueur, and molten milk chocolate. Like the 2017 Myriad George III this is a major success for the vintage. Needs some time to mellow out but this was hard to put down and only got better with time.
