  November 10, 2019 - I was lucky enough to have been offered a glass of this wine from a generous fellow student on our WSET3. Arriving without label but a cellar tag gave the details, confirmed on the cork, which was in reasonable condition. Deep gold and crystal clear. Nose of wet wool, petrol, honey, apricot, orange peel, blossom and tropical fruit, perhaps lychee and pineapple. In the mouth this was sweet, tropical fruit, peach and barley sugar. Following on came a marmalade tang and the honey. The acidity was perfectly in balance, giving a sense of purity and focus, cleansing each mouthful and highlighting the ripe fruit and tertiary flavours. This felt so light and yet complex and persistent. Finish was long. Sheer joy in a glass. I would have placed this at peak and with plenty in hand if stored well.
