November 13, 2019 - Open up for 30mins, very approachable
Appearance : med garnet with lots of petillance and residual
On nose : med+ intensity, black fruit : black berries, plum, deep violet flora, sweet vanilla oak, pine, tobacco, eucalyptus, clove, a hint of spiciness, surprisingly good complexity.
On palate : dry, med acidity, med+ to high but fine wse tannin, very intensive black fruit : plum skin on front palate, med+ flavour intensity with med+ alcohol on mid palate and med+ body and tea leaves and med length finishing.
Obviously an old wine when u firstly encountered on the palate. Surprisingly a complex aroma but not much development on palate. As a whole, it is still a premium wine. On may find that the elegancy reflect that high altitudes of the growth of the grapes. 80% Malbec and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon from 3100 feet of the sea level.
