Community Tasting Note

  • S.Wayne Likes this wine: 90 points

    November 13, 2019 - Single blind tasting.
    Dark garnet color.
Medium aromatics. No oak. Earth, tobacco, leather, dark plum and cherry.
Medium palate with medium + acidity, medium + tannin and medium + alcohol. Cherry is main feature with no secondary notes.
Finish is medium with a balanced, well integrated tannin to acidity. A little lacking in the palate regarding fruit and secondary characteristics. Still a nice but not exceptional example of Brunello.

12/17/19, 7:35 PM - I think it’s the vintage.’08 has been a dull, ripe but ‘flat’ year. I’ve tasted dozens and only the Carmignano from Conte Bonacossi was better. RIP... I really think ‘08’s need to be drunk up now. You/???

12/20/19, 5:52 PM - Arturoonwine, I had another bottle 11/2018 and had a similar if less fruity tasting note then. I suspect you are right about drinking it up now. S.Wayne
