  popped and poured and drank over 2 nights
  
  looks like barbera
  night one -right from the start the nose was muted with hints of alc coming through with some diffused dark fruits. dusty tannins and some general dark fruit on the palate. good freshness and medium length.
  slightly disappointing
  
  night two - more expressive on the nose with dark fruits showing up more clearly. the palate is more round, a bit more juicy and the acidity is food friendly. night two was not bad but surely not memorable.
  if you are drinking this now, i recommend a good 1 hour decant. great with pizza and pastas
