November 17, 2019 - This is truly a great wine, though a little overpowering at first due to the strong tannins. Lots of dark fruit and earth notes, but very smooth and well structured. Definitely needs several hours exposure to air prior to drinking, not a good candidate for a pop n pour. What surprised me the most was the balance of this wine. I expect this wine to continue to improve over time as the intense tannins start to soften.

11/18/19, 7:10 PM - glad to see your review as I have several bottles of this. I am not really a Dunn fan and recently tasted the 2014 vintage which was just average. Hoping for the best

11/18/19, 7:37 PM - Dunn is somewhat of an acquired taste compared to most Napa cabs due to its lower alcohol content. I liked the 2013 quite a bit more than the 2014, but the main thing is to open the bottle for several hours before drinking. I’ve been told the 2013 is years away from its optimal drinking window, but with lots of air time it is quite good now.
