November 28, 2019 - Very pale. A pleasant nose, clean and sweet with green apple, grape, and lemon - rather prosecco-like. Similar taste, a little simple and frivolous for champagne, but at this price it's not bad, and might tempt fans of other sparkling wines across. Good tangy acidity, a touch of salinity, almost no bitterness. Fine but forgettable. The label states 'predominantly pinot noir', though this doesn't show. [Cork + cage; 12% abv; Asda, on offer at £14].
