December 1, 2019 - One of the better 2005 Bordeaux’s enjoyed over the last few years. This seems be now entering its prime drinking window. Fresh aromatics with red flowers, spicy red currant, peppermint, sandalwood, barnyard funk, and dry mulchy earth. Raspberries, red berries, cherries, plums, chocolate, tobacco, spice and dirty cedar mulch in the flavor profile. Tannins are slightly drying and gritty, but solid acidly provides balance and further cellaring potential. Long finish. Enjoyed with orange duck. Should drink well for another 5-7 years.
