  December 7, 2019 - This is a big bruiser of a wine. 16.2% abv. A deep purple color loaded with dark fruit against a background of licorice, vanilla, and cola. Tannic with a pronounced acidity which helps balance what is a very fruit forward wine. Port-like with a bit of alcoholic heat. Old style cab bordering on fruit bomb. Not exactly a style I care for. May calm down with another 5-plus years of cellaring. For those that like this style, the rating most likely would be higher.
