  December 10, 2019 - Black cherry, blackberry, black rock, deep/dark cassis, and some bitter dark chocolate present a POW-erful unloading on the palate. Back in June when I last sampled this beast, it was behaving more like a cerebral LPV than a Crane.
  
  Well, the bounty is back with this particular bottle in terms of flavor expansion and the fundamental Spring Break spraying of flashy fruit. It’s a party van with a 1,600 horsepower Bugatti engine. As such, with all of the outpouring of fruit and flavor comes a bit of youthful rocket fuel unfurling on the delivery. It’s quite the undertaking right now, in need of some sleepy time to throttle back on its insanely monstrous strength. It could have benefitted from even more than the couple hours of decanted air we gave it during consumption. It’s certainly on its evolutionary path to greatness and will reward all who are lucky enough to have these in their cellars and patient enough to let it further hone its marvelous stuffing.
  
  A very special New Year’s Eve kind of wine. Try again on December 31, 2024. A particular thanks to Cristal2000 for sacrificing this gem at dinner. 97-98+ points for now, with a perfect score back in the sights for this wine after 5+ years.
