December 13, 2019 - I have throughly enjoyed a number of this producer’s Burgundies in the past, so it was no surprise as to how good this was tonight. Clear, bright medium ruby color and medium body. Very intoxicating, savory, spicy, and flowery aromatics and flavors leading with beautiful fresh red flowers; and red mineral laden earth with tart cherry, spicy raspberry, ripe strawberry, cola, and black tea. Velvety and smooth in the mouth. Great intensity, and wonderful complexity and nuance, with excellent balance; plenty of acidity to support at least another 5-7 years in the cellar. Finished long. Just as good as the Patrice Rion Les Cras Premier Cru enjoyed earlier in the evening.
