December 14, 2019 - This is still primary but surprisingly open. Great depth of flavor, prominent acidity but not out of balance. The nose is classic - menthol, tart cherry, rocks and a hint of tar. The mouth-feel is excellent - a bit lush even though the wine is light-bodied. Darker flavors - an appealing earthiness, black raspberry, menthol and tar. Good minerality and a long finish. The wine had been decanted 3 hours and after 2 hours out on the table it had tightened up a little bit near the end.
