  December 15, 2019 - Almost a year on from our last bottle. Decanted 4h prior. Good colour and very fragrant, spicy nose with cedar notes. As before, a very rich palate with dark plums, spice, some 'smoke', cedar pencil, maybe a hint of fennel developing on the end taste. Soft with gentle, balanced acidity and very soft, integrated, slightly dusty tannins. Very good with food (rare sirloin steak). Again, it improved and became more complex with time. 6h after opening it was softer, richer and had more sweet cherry fruit on nose and palate with softer tannins. Very fine, still.
