December 22, 2019 - I need to drink more of this. Great aromas of raspberry, dried strawberries, maple bacon, dried herbs (bay leaf?). Gorgeous ruby red. The palate shares the fruit and some licorice with some great mineral laced throughout. I don’t have a real reference point for whether I popped this too soon or not as I know these can really age. I do know I’ll find more and enjoy exploring this region old and new! Which do you prefer old, young, or in between?

12/23/19, 11:20 AM - I used to let CDP age longer, but have found that I prefer it with 4-7 years of age. Just drank a bottle of this myself, and agree that it’s in a very nice place. Elegant. I’ll see your 92 and raise you one, so 93. Thanks for asking!

The tannins were still quite noticeable and I'd imagine another 3-5 years may serve this one well still. Definitely agree, would give these at least 5-7 years before drinking.
