December 23, 2019 - The nose was very reluctant to open up upon pouring, but there was a very floral and herbal undertone that foretold of good things to come.

The palate is fresh, full of black fruit, thyme, mint and very mineral. It’s rather brooding, while simultaneously bright and refreshing. Medium plus acid, medium minus body, rich blackberry and boysenberry. Very fine tannin, enough to provide good structure, while remaining unobtrusive. I don’t know anything about the soil composition, but I’d guess there’s something adding to the minerality from the site where it’s grown.

This definitely over delivered on the price and was totally delicious. Could easily age for much longer, but still excellent today. Now to save up for some Barolo...
