Single piece, long cork
No sign of seepage.
Tasted over 24h.
More restrained syrah than the 2003 crozes-hermitage bottling which bordered on cloying stewed fruit.
Pepper and violet aromas.
Balanced palate with good acidity for a warm vintage. Fruit still primary, mostly blackberry to my taste. Decent length and acidity.
Solid value, if slightly lacking character. A good effort considering the vintage.
Drink or hold to 2024, limited upside anticipated based on both our opinions.
