January 10, 2020 - Beautiful ruby color, naturally darker than typical rose’. A fine mousse that is also a bit lazy. Very light and pretty bouquet of strawberry, melon, white flowers. The palate is lively and nicely balanced between acidity/glycerin/dosage in mouthfeel and delicate fruit flavors. I needed to match a sparkler to a steak and this worked wonderfully. The extra brut designation should be of little concern... it has a nice dry tack to it, but also a certain plushness to make it smooth and easy to drink.
