  January 11, 2020 - Tasted against an Oregon Pinot, 2011 Domaine Taupenot-Merme Morey St. Denis 1er Cru La Riotte using Corovin, so effectively PnP. Not quite as elegant as the Burg, but not all that far off. The nose was a bit funky but it blew off in about 10 minutes. On the palate it had more intensity of fruit, but a slightly shorter finish. I prefer the Taupenot-Merme, but this was really good and slightly better than previous bottle. I would not wait a long time to drink these, however, it's now at peak and not built to last a long time.
